Abstract:"Emissions of 2-(2-butoxyethoxy) ethanol, 2-(2-butoxyethoxy) ethyl acetate, 2-fenoxyethanol, 2-ethylhexanol, alpha, beta pinene and total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) from water-borne adhesives for flooring materials were measured by means of emission test chamber 28 days (at 23 degrees C, 45% relative humidity, 0,5 air exchange/hour). For one adhesive the emission of 2 compounds was observed even after 28 days. TVOC emissions for one adhesive was very low. Some of adhesives may release of compounds which toxicity data have not been evaluated"
