Abstract:"Polymyxin B nonapeptide enhanced susceptibility of yeast cells to various hydrophobic antibiotics and to mating pheromones. At much lower concentrations, the nonapeptide severely inhibited mating. The inhibition was caused by interference with sexual agglutination"
