Abstract:Evaluation of all known ticks attractants was made to ascertain their suitability to be combined with pesticide in order to control populations of pasture ticks of the genera Ixodes and Dermacentor. Search for attractants among the pheromones of aggregation (for the genus Ixodes) and among substances determining the host's odour (for both genera) was concluded to be most promising
